I choose the music production beginners course because I wanted to work one on one with a producer working in the industry. The tips and tricks learnt from my tutor was invaluable to improving the way I worked. Having completed the course I decided to pivot in to the performance aspect by studying the DJ diploma with an emphasis on using Ableton and Push controller.
I took the DJ crash course with the objective of generally knowing what decks did. I’d picked up odd bits of info from youtube tutorials but being at London AMP gave me a really solid foundation to play at house parties or consider going professional. The facilities were great and they have the new Pioneer CDJ3000’s which were amazing and I gained a good knowledge of what tech to go and buy afterwards. I would definitely recommend London AMP, they were brilliant.
As an artist and wanted to understand how the production process worked. For me the use of the studios outside of classes was helpful for my own projects and progressing with the course. I also think it’s very good for those that want to go into the industry as you come into contact with a lot of other musicians, producers and engineers.
I started a music tech course at another college but left early to join London AMP. I learnt more in a few weeks here than I did in 3 months at my previous college so it was a great decision. The entire course was perfect for what I was looking to learn especially the sound design, synthesis, mixing and mastering topics. I would highly recommend!
Having some previous experience I wanted to take my knowledge further. The course content was fascinating and the opportunity to use professional studios was a great experience. My tutors were excellent and the feedback I received when I presented my final projects was invaluable.
